The Skin Pharmacy concept and commitment

We aim to provide a complete approach to skin problems by providing a diagnostic and treatment service. If the diagnosis is unknown our online consultation service will provide a rapid specialist opinion on the likely diagnosis and give treatment suggestions. If the diagnosis is known you can contact us for advice on treatment or you can purchase products directly from the site. Prescription items will require an online consultation.

e-Consultation Information

How does it work?

Please note online consultations are not a substitute for a face to face consultation with a consultant dermatologist. If you require a medication that is a prescription only item our online service will allow us to confirm the diagnosis and then to issue a private prescription for the medicine. Our online service is undertaken by a Consultant Dermatologist. You will need to Register with us and complete a form to provide information about your specific skin problem together with background information about your general health and current medication. If possible we suggest you upload some digital photographs (click here for our guide on taking pictures) to help us to diagnose the problem.

What happens if I need treatment?

Detailed information on the recommended treatment will be provided. If you need treatment you will be able to ask your GP to issue a prescription by showing them our consultation reply form. Alternatively we are able to issue a private prescription and the treatment will be sent by next day delivery. If we feel you need to see a dermatologist you can locate your local recommended dermatologist on our website and request an appointment via e-mail.

What if you can't make a diagnosis?

Although we are usually able to make a diagnosis in most cases, occasionally it isn't possible without seeing the patient. If this happens we will probably recommend that you arrange a consultation with one of our locally recommended dermatologists and this can be arranged via the website, we will send a referral letter for you.

Delivery/Returns

1st Class Delivery - Charges are shown at checkout and are dependant on the weight of your parcel. The vast majority of orders are despatched either on the same working day or the following working day. Our standard delivery option includes packaging, handling, and Royal Mail 1st Class delivery postal costs. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery.



Please note: Deliveries to the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man may be subject to delays due to customs checks

Returns Policy

Returns:
Due to the nature of our products we are unable to accept returns due to change of mind. However, you have the right to cancel your oder providing it has not been dispatched (please note that orders are dispatched within 1 working day of receipt).

Damaged Products and Incorrect Orders:
You may exchange your goods or obtain a full refund if the goods in your order are damaged upon receipt, or if the goods you have received are not the goods you originally ordered.
You will be required to return the damaged or incorrect order to us in order to receive a refund of:
- Full Purchase Price
- Delivery Charges (the cost for initial delivery to you)
- Return Charges (the cost for returning goods to us) upon the production of a receipt. 

For exchanges, you will be required to return the damaged or incorrect order to us and we will:
- Dispatch replacement items to you free of charge
- Refund return charges (the cost for returning goods to us) upon production of a receipt. 

Please notify us within 48 hours upon receipt of any damaged or incorrect orders.

Online Transactions

At The Skin Pharmacy we use PayPal Website Payments Pro (PayPal Pro) to process your payments quickly, simply, and securly. PayPal Pro enables The Skin Pharmacy to process credit cards directly on our website all hosted by PayPal. In addition you can pay by simply logging into your PayPal account.

When you are ready to make a purchase, you will see two options when asked to enter your payment details. 

Option 1 - Pay using a Credit or Debit Card:

- Select to pay with a credit or debit card.
- Enter your credit/debit card details.
- Review your payment and order details.
- Your payment will be processed and you will receive confirmation of your order.
- On receipt of your payment The Skin Pharmacy will dispatch your order.

Option 2 - Pay using your PayPal account:

- Select the option to pay using your PayPal account.
- You will be redirected to the PayPal site and asked to log in. 
- Check the shipping information.
- Confirm and complete payment.
- Your payment will be processed and you will receive confirmation of your order.
- On receipt of your payment The Skin Pharmacy will dispatch your order.

You will be able to tell that you are in secure mode because the "http" in the web address on your browser will change to "https".

The Skin Pharmacy has signed up to and aims to comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) in order to improve credit card security for our customers. The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.
